The fruit in the background was brought over from Tortola once a week by a woman I called the Tortola Lady. (I believe that she is the lady in the blue dress standing behind Toni.)

The Tortola Lady's visit was a welcome opportunity to get fresh fruits and vegetables, hard to come by on St. John in those days.
