| ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS FROM ANY TERMINAL POINT A. This tariff must be posted in all public vehicles used as a taxi. B. The charges not listed on this tariff shall be arrived at by using the nearest tariffed place crossed and the next tariffed place ahead, based on the one nearest to the passenger's destination. C. Taxi drivers must adhere to the rules (V.I. Taxi Division's Rules) and regulations governing taxi operations while on duty. These rules include, "A Taxi Operator, while on duty, shall not refuse any passenger unless the passenger is intoxicated and disorderly or in possession of a pet or animal (other than a seeing-eye dog) that is not properly and adequately secured in a kennel case or other suitable container. There shall be no charge for the seeing-eye dog. A taxi operator must be courteous to passengers at all times. Aggressive and profane language is not to be tolerated." D. Kennel charge: Large kennel $30, small kennel $20. E. Round–trip fares: double the one way fare plus waiting charges. F. Waiting charges: $1 per minute, first five minutes free. G. Phone or radio call: For one person, the fare plus one-third of the basic fare. More than one person, add $1 to each passenger. H. Between midnight and 6 a.m., there shall be an additional charge of $2 per person. I. Any person requesting a taxi exclusively for themselves: Rate to be negotiated between taxi operator and passenger(s). J. Luggage: A flat rate of $2 per bag shall be added to the fare for each passenger. The rate for items greater than 30-inches by 20-inches shall not exceed $4 per item. K. All taxis must have ON-DUTY/OFF DUTY signs posted in the window of their vehicle, and shall have an installed lighted sign (DOME) when on duty. When on duty, taxis must pick up passengers going in the same direction, unless as stipulated in provisions "I" of this section, or, unless a contract or franchise has been awarded to a specific group of persons. L. Hourly Rates (1 - 4 passengers) Sedan/Mini Van $40; Van $55; Safari $80. Rates for additional passengers will be negotiated between the taxi operator and passenger(s). M. Taxi operators must be clean and neatly attired at all times.(NO TANKTOPS, HALTERS, SLIPPERS, CUTOFFS OR SHIRTTAILS OUT.) N. All passengers must be discharged at their precise requested locations when fare is accepted or agreed to. O. Taxi operators found exceeding or undercutting the official tariff will be cited by The Taxicab Division inspectors. No Association or Independent operator may set any special rates without the approval of the Virgin Islands Taxicab Division. SIGHTSEEING TOURS TOUR I One or two passengers $50 Three or more passengers $25 Limited time of tour 2 hours TOUR 2 One or two passengers $70 Three or more passengers $35 Limited time of tour 3 Hours Fare subject to change made by the V.I.
